After being in this class every Tuesday night of the week I realize how significant technology plays in education and it is a key component in every classroom and hopefully one day in physical education. By the time I have a classroom of my own someday I think technology will be completely different then what it is right now but now I feel like I am prepared for everything that technology is going to throw towards me. It will take some time of mine to integrate technology well in my classroom but learning along the way will benefit my students in the long run. Although this class has not taught me everything there is to know about technology because technology changes every year, but I do believe that this class has made me more proficient in using technology.
When looking at the NETS I realized that there are areas with technology that I have benefited in this year. I disagree that older teachers do not use technology in their classroom, but now I see how important it is in student learning because of their culture. I feel like I have grown the most in NETS 2 for teachers, Design and Develop Digital-Age Learning Experiences and Assessments, I have used blogging to help me become more familiar with this process. The blogs that I created have shown me how I can use technology to stay in contact with students and their parents/guardians. After this class I now feel like I will be able to use technology to create a better opportunity for my students to learn.
